Setanta Books' twelve days of Christmas

Setanta books has commissioned Keira Rathbone to create a unique one off print featuring a undisclosed/collectable book cover for a ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’ competition.

Starting Dec 02 we will post a daily photograph on Setanta Books website and across social platforms showing the progress of this work. The winner will be the first person to correctly identify the title and author. There are other prizes of ten twenty pound gift vouchers for ten other entrants who correctly guess. The original print will be posted to the winner in time for Christmas.

Keira Rathbone is a London based fine artist who uses a manual typewriter as a drawing tool. Her typewriter keys create texture and shape, which enable Keira to build up complete drawings in a unique and truly original way.

Keira’s work has been featured at exhibitions and art fairs in London, Barcelona, Nice and New York. She has been interviewed by ITV, BBC World Service and The Huffington Post. Her work has been featured in Metro, Diplomat and Wired magazine. She has done live typewriter performances in Paul Smith shops, at the London Olympics, Glastonbury Festival, the Natural History Museum, on Mary Ann Hobbs 6 Music radio show and on board the Queen Mary 2.

Here it is, the piece is finished. The book is 'And the Ass Saw the Angel' by Nick Cave. Such an amazing work, I can't even believe it's done with a manual typewriter. Your talent is incredible @krtypewriterart. Thank you very much for liking, sharing and joining our #12daysofchristmas game.
